Carolina Springs Middle School is dedicated to seeing all students embody the Lexington One Graduate Profile. Our comprehensive program is designed to guide all students to learn, grow, and excel. We have proudly maintained our designation as a National Forum School to Watch by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform and as an AVID Certified Site. We have continued to enhance our students' writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading skills through the AVID instructional framework.
Our students continue to thrive in a safe and supportive environment. We have enriched their school experience this year through increased engagement and inclusivity with our UNIFIED classes and our participation in the Special Olympics. We expanded opportunities through IMPACK clubs by offering over 40 different options for students to connect with peers and mentors. We also helped our students build connections with each other through PACK Week and the introduction of student-led conferences.
We are grateful for the unwavering support of our families and community partners. This year, we saw meaningful participation from families through volunteer opportunities, PTSA and SIC involvement, and event chaperones. Partnerships with Lexington County Mental Health, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Mark Rouse State Farm Insurance Agency, Hwy. 55, Sonic Drive-In and Marco's Pizza provided invaluable support. We continued contributing to Relay for Life of the Midlands and fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
While we celebrate our accomplishments, we remain committed to measurable long-term impact on the families and children we serve. Our goal is to equip students with the resilience and skills they need to navigate the world and overcome challenges on their paths to success. As we embrace the upcoming school year, we are confident in our ability to continue making a positive difference in the lives of our students.
Sincerely,
Brice Cockfield, Principal
