Blue Ridge High School is helping all students develop the World Class Skills outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by preparing them to be college, career, and life ready. We are committed to producing graduates who are prepared for the workforce, the military, technical education, and higher education.
Blue Ridge High School remains focused on three core goals:
• Building strong Relationships with each other while maintaining high expectations for all.
• Collaborating to create an Organization that promotes the Achievement of every student.
• Rallying our school and community around everything that makes Blue Ridge exceptional.
These goals form the foundation of our school mantra, #HearUsROAR. Our vision is to provide students with a world-class education that empowers them to ROAR long after graduation.
The 2025-2026 school year was one of the most successful in school history. Blue Ridge High School was named South Carolina's Palmetto's Finest High School, one of the state's highest honors recognizing excellence in student achievement, instructional programs, school culture, and community engagement. In addition, Principal Ashley Wardlaw was recognized as the South Carolina Secondary Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA), reflecting the collective efforts of our students, staff, families, and community.
Academically, Blue Ridge High School continued to demonstrate exceptional growth and achievement. Our students achieved record levels of success on End-of-Course assessments, Advanced Placement exams, Career and Technical Education certifications, and graduation indicators. Blue Ridge was recognized as a Top Performing High School and one of the fastest-growing schools in Greenville County Schools. Through a strong focus on supporting all learners, including students with disabilities and multilingual learners, we continue to close achievement gaps while increasing opportunities for student success.
Blue Ridge offers multiple Advanced Placement courses, Dual Credit opportunities, and seven Career and Technical Education completer pathways. Students continue to graduate with industry credentials, college credit, and real-world experiences that prepare them for success after high school. Our international partnership with Hebei Global Village International School in China continues to provide students opportunities to collaborate globally and develop intercultural competencies.
A major focus of the 2025-2026 school year was strengthening Ridge Nation, the partnership between Mountain View Elementary, Skyland Elementary, Tigerville Elementary, Blue Ridge Middle School, and Blue Ridge High School. Through events such as RidgeFest, Tiger Rush, Return to the Ridge Rally, school-to-school visits, and collaborative leadership opportunities, students experienced a seamless connection across all grade levels. Ridge Nation continues to strengthen community pride while creating a unified educational experience from kindergarten through graduation.
Our clubs and student organizations continue to thrive and provide students with meaningful leadership and service opportunities. Student Council, Beta Club, FCA, National Honor Society, AFJROTC, FFA, Robotics, and numerous other organizations demonstrated outstanding commitment to leadership, service, and academic excellence throughout the year.
Our AFJROTC program continued its tradition of excellence through leadership development, community service, competitive success, and civic engagement. Fine arts students excelled through award-winning performances in choir, orchestra, band, theater, and visual arts, representing Blue Ridge with distinction throughout the region and state.
Athletics continued to bring pride to The Ridge. The Boys Golf Team captured another South Carolina State Championship while continuing its tradition of academic excellence. Blue Ridge student-athletes earned region, upper state, and state honors across multiple sports while maintaining exceptional academic performance. Our athletic programs continue to demonstrate that excellence in the classroom and competition go hand in hand.
The Blue Ridge agriculture program continues to expand opportunities for students through innovative learning experiences and facility improvements. Supported by significant Career and Technical Education investments, students are gaining hands-on experiences that prepare them for careers in agriculture and related industries.
As we reflect on the 2025-2026 school year, Blue Ridge High School remains committed to providing every student with the opportunities, support, and experiences necessary to achieve success. The accomplishments of this year are a testament to the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community partners. Together, we will continue building a culture where relationships matter, achievement is expected, and every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger. #HearUsROAR
