Lead Academy equips individuals to be well-rounded leaders through the principles of: Be nice. Work hard. Serve well. Have fun. Lead Academy remains deeply committed to our refreshed mission: sparking curiosity, maximizing learning potential, and continuously improving student achievement. Our teachers design lessons and programs that pose authentic challenges, inspire inquiry, and support every student in making measurable progress—not just academically, but as thoughtful, caring, and innovative individuals.
Students are expected to reflect the habits of leadership—Empathy, Perseverance, Integrity, and Curiosity—in their daily interactions, schoolwork, and community contributions. These traits are reinforced through classroom experiences, crew time, leadership opportunities, and service projects that cultivate character as much as content knowledge.
We monitor three primary indicators of success to ensure we're fulfilling our mission:
-
Academic Mastery & Growth: We closely track students’ mastery of grade-level standards and their academic growth trajectory, celebrating those who achieve proficiency and those who steadily progress beyond expectations.
-
Leadership & Character Development: Students lead with empathy, act with integrity, persist in the face of challenges, and satisfy curiosity through exploration. These qualities are recognized during recognition assemblies, reflection sessions, and leadership roles across campus.
-
Engagement & Innovation: Learning at Lead Academy is not passive—it’s hands-on, creative, and meaningful. We evaluate how students engage in innovative lessons, apply creative thinking across disciplines, and contribute to collaborative projects.
Looking ahead, we aim to deepen the integration of these indicators across all grade levels and expand opportunities for leadership and innovation. We’ll continue building a learning environment where students not only meet academic goals but also grow as compassionate, creative leaders—fully prepared for high school, college, and life beyond the classroom.
