R.B. Stall High School is committed to serving the students, families, and community of North Charleston. Our vision to be an innovative learning community that inspires all to build a better future is complemented by the expectations set forth in the Profile of a South Carolina Graduate. R.B. Stall High School is committed to preparing its graduates to enter college and career equipped with World Class Knowledge and Skills and Life and Career Characteristics.
R.B. Stall High School was recognized for the fourth year as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School. Students experience the daily practice of engagement, affirmation, and respect that comes through personal relationships with teachers and peers. These connections develop a culture within the school and classroom that fosters collaboration and mutual respect.
Our school culture has been further influenced by our school-wide Warrior Strong character education initiative. We reinforce the characteristics of a W.A.R.R.I.O.R. for our students consistently; We Are Respectful, Responsible, Innovative, Optimistic, and Resilient. The development of these personal attributes increases positive outcomes for students. Our school also develops deep connections with the school community. We provide counseling support, a clothing closet, and a food bank for our families to help provide for the physical and mental well-being of our students and their families.
Our focus on rigor in all classrooms develops students with the highest levels of academic readiness. Students are challenged to demonstrate college readiness by enrolling in any of the 15 Advanced Placement courses offered at R.B. Stall High School. Advanced Placement participation is encouraged to develop students that will not only earn college credit, but excel throughout their time in college.
Students think critically while participating in authentic work-based learning experiences. Our students have opportunities to participate in three school-based enterprises; the school store for Marketing, Tribal Ink for Digital Art and Design, and our school-based branch of Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union for our Finance cluster. Students also experience exceptional learning opportunities off-campus through internships and apprenticeships at Boeing and a variety of other STEM career-fields.
Stall High School continues to stand out as a center for Aerospace Education in South Carolina. Our focus is highlighted through our Advanced Curriculum in Aerospace Engineering, Project Lead the Way Pre-Engineering curriculum including the Aerospace Engineering course, and our Air Force JROTC. Cadets are taught the science of flight as well as given opportunities to fly simulators, participate in Pilot Ground School, and take their first exhilarating flights.
We are proud of the many accomplishments our student organizations have attained this year. Our student government was awarded at the state-level competition for the second straight year for their positive affirmation campaign, “Mountain of Gratitude.” JROTC, National Honor Society, Beta Club and other student organizations have volunteered over 3000 hours of community service to our school and community.
Our fine arts programs are highlighted by the continued success in Advanced Placement Art, and Concert Band which earned a Superior rating. In addition, we have exceptional sculpture, steel drum, and choral programs. Our athletic programs also made a monumental shift to compete at the 5A level and qualified student-athletes participate in the playoffs in multiple sports and signed several athletes to compete at their respective sports at the collegiate level.
We are proud of our students’ accomplishments inside and outside of the classroom at R.B. Stall High School. We continuously focus on developing outstanding opportunities to develop and demonstrate positive personal character while participating in a rigorous academic program to ensure our students will have success in college and beyond. We are proud to say each day, “It’s a great day to be a Warrior!”
