Branchville High School (BHS) serves the Branchville area of Orangeburg County as a 6-12 school with approximately 320 students. The faculty and staff of BHS is made up of dedicated individuals who have high expectations for all students to learn and grow in a positive, safe, and warm educational environment. We believe all students can learn and that parents should be involved in the education of their children. Our goal is to educate students who will be prepared to excel in post-secondary education, be productive in the workforce, and become lifelong learners.
Branchville High School has had many academic successes this year. Branchville High School had 48 seniors graduate in June. The senior class had 82% of their students that were identified as college or career ready by the South Carolina Department of Education. The middle and high school were both rated "Excellent" on the state report cards.
In athletics, the varsity volleyball team won the region and advanced to the State Finals. The baseball and softball teams won the region championship. At the end of the 2022-2023 school year the staff selected Mrs. Sheran Kelly as BHS Support Staff Person of the Year and Mr. Michael Salomone as BHS Teacher of the Year.
The two mottos that we, at Branchville, believe in is "Only the Best at BHS" and "Branchville is a Rayl Rode School (RRS) Respect, Responsibility, and Safety". BHS must provide students with academic rigor, relevance, relationships, and fun to be successful for the future. Through the combined efforts of students, parents and teachers, Branchville High School strives to help all students reach their full potential. We encourage all students to build positive memories while preparing to be productive citizens for the future.
