Bryson Middle School is helping all students develop the world-class skills and life and career characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a safe, caring, and academically challenging learning environment. We provide such an environment through the implementation of our school vision: "Building a Mindset for Success". We demonstrate this vision by inspiring students to believe in themselves, move toward their goals, and become successful by challenging our students with best practices to reach their full potential as well as continuous professional development of our teachers.
We also are equally proud of our students’ accomplishments in academic, fine arts, athletics, and Agricultural education. We inducted 52 members in the Jr. Beta Club and participated in the Junior Beta Club Convention where were named a Beta Club School of Distinction. Our girl's softball team made it to the finals. Our fine arts program is growing each year with over 120 students in our Chorus and Theatre program. Our Chorus/Theatre students entertained our school and community with a full presentation of High School Musical Jr. Our Band and Orchestra also participated in many adjudicated performances where I students earned Excellent ratings. Along with the above, our Orchestra, Band and Chorus also participated in the musical events at Dollywood and Carowinds. were available, students still participated in local, county and regional band, orchestral events.
At Bryson Middle we also have various programs outside the academic world to focus on the development of the whole child. Our counselors took this year to begin rebuilding our program since the majority of our students have return face to face since Covid. Our students participated in multiple community service projects such as fundraising for non-profit organizations and volunteer services. Bryson Middle continued our partnership with the Backpack Blessings program to provide food over the weekend to our students. Our students were also able to return to participating in field trips this past school year as well as a job shadowing day. We had close to 300 students participate in our job shadowing day off campus in a specific area they want to pursue after high school or college. Our PTSA also became a full board again this year raising money to redo our outside landscaping and provide a school store for our students.
At Bryson Middle, we believe the school, family, and community must share the educational responsibility of our students. Thank you for all of your support in helping in the development of our future South Carolina graduates and world leaders!
