Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School is helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a caring and engaging environment where students recognize and achieve their fullest potential through individualized strategies that lead to students' success.  Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School is a place where...everyone is welcomed and encouraged to be actively involved; everyone will respect and care for all people and things around them; everyone can grow and excel through hands-on science and technology-based learning; and everyone will receive interventions that are tailored to their individual needs.  As a Cognia STEM accredited institution, our students are challenged to excel in a global society with the support of parents, highly qualified professional educators, support staff, and the community.

At Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School, we are proud of the hard work, effort, and dedication put forth by our faculty, staff and students.   Our Algebra I instructor continues to have a passing rate of 100% on the state End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP). JMS Mock Trial team was the only Aiken County representative team in the regional competition. Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School’s third-place finish in the South Carolina Bar Associations Annual Middle School Mock Trial regional competition qualified them to advance to the state finals.  The JMS Concert Band performed at the South Carolina Band Director's Association Concert Performance Assessment in Summerville, SC and received 3 Excellent ratings on stage for their three prepared pieces, and an Excellent and Superior in Sight Reading. Additionally, we had 11 students selected for the Aiken All County Band Conference. A 7th grade student at Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School, was the first runner-up at the district spelling bee.

Parent and community involvement is important to Jackson. Parents may serve on the
Superintendent Parent Advisory Council, PTO, and School Improvement Council. Faculty, staff, students, and community members actively participate in our Veterans Day Program, Black History Programs, and STEM Literacy Nights.

Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School students continue to show academic progress on state assessments.  JMS students' academic progress as measured by state assessments in English/Language Arts and Mathematics were significantly greater compared to other students in our district and state.

As always, our Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School students are "Thinking Today and Leading Tomorrow."
