Easley High School focuses on student growth and achievement, both inside and outside of the classroom. In the 2022-2023 school year, students excelled in academics, athletics, JROTC, fine arts, and other student organizations.
In the 2022-2023 school year, we had students participate in the SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics Accelerate Program. We also had students participate in Syracuse University Project Advance, which was a dual-credit program for students.
In EHS athletics, our Easley High School Varsity cheerleading team won the 4A state championship in competitive cheer. We had one student win the 4A state championship in pole vault, and we had multiple students sign to play sports at the collegiate level.
Our NJROTC orienteering team placed 2nd in their competition and was invited to the Navy National Competition.
In EHS fine arts, the Easley High School band program received the 2022-2023 South Carolina Band Director’s Outstanding Performance Award. To achieve this award, all competitive ensembles must participate in state level competitions and gain enough superior and/or excellent ratings. They also placed 4th in the state competition. The EHS Chamber Strings Ensemble earned an excellent rating and our theater program had a great turn out for their first musical performance.
Lastly, our student council completed many community service activities and projects during the school year. They invited the local elementary schools for fall festival activities and they raised over $26,000 for Haddis Ministries, their chosen organization to support during homecoming week. The EHS student council also was awarded gold honors council and 3rd in recognition and school spirit. They also had one student inducted into the Terry McCoy hall of fame.
We are looking forward to building on this focus in the 2023-2024 school year, as we help students “find their ‘E’”, by either enrolling in college, enlisting in the military, or finding employment after graduation.
