Carolina High School is committed to serving our students, families, and community by providing the highest quality educational experience along with preparing our graduates for success beyond high school.
Carolina High School strives to continuously improve for our students. Our continuous improvement is driven by our school’s leadership team, faculty and staff, parents, and community. Together we implemented strategies to accomplish achievement goals in the areas of instruction, college and career readiness, and graduation rate. Some of the interventions we have implemented to support our students are our Trojan Time after school tutoring program, summer school, OnTrack Greenville interventions and support, Communities In Schools facilitators, tiered counseling, and mentoring services for all students.
Carolina High works to cultivate a welcoming climate and culture within the school. Students experience the daily practice of engagement, affirmation, and respect that comes through personal relationships with teachers and peers. These connections develop a culture within the school and classroom that fosters collaboration and mutual respect.
As we prepare all students to be college and career ready, our focus on rigor develops graduates with the highest levels of academic readiness. Students are challenged to demonstrate college readiness by enrolling in Honors, Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses. In addition to academics, we develop well-rounded students through our excellent co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. We are proud of our marching band, concert band, choir, theater, visual arts and photography programs. Students develop leadership through opportunities in Student Council, Student Government, and Air Force Junior ROTC. We also have many students that engage and excel through our growing athletics program.
Some of our most valuable opportunities afforded to our students are in the area of Career and Technology Education. We are proud to be a Greenville County Magnet School for our majors in Biomedical Science and Engineering. These programs prepare students to be future leaders in medicine and engineering. Our school also offers additional Career Pathways in the areas of Health Science, Business, Marketing, and Hospitality. There are also a wide range of high-tech Career and Technology Courses for our students to benefit from at the Enoree Career Center.
Finally, as we look to the 2023-2024 school year and beyond, Carolina High School will continue to strive for continuous improvement. We are excited for the successes we have achieved and will continue to improve to better serve our students and school community. Our combined efforts will allow us to ensure every student becomes a college and career ready graduate!
