T. E. Mabry Middle School is helping all students develop the world class skills and life and career characteristics that embody the Profile of a South Carolina Graduate by continuing to provide a quality, student-centered education. T.E. Mabry Middle School’s mission is “Count on Me” to make a positive impact through teaching and learning. T. E. Mabry Middle School was named a South Carolina School to Watch in 2011 while being re-designated to the same honor in 2014, 2017, and 2020. As a School to Watch, we continue to implement a development framework that focuses on social equity, developmental responsiveness, academic excellence, and organizational structures and processes. T. E. Mabry Middle School was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2015. T. E. Mabry Middle School was also the recipient of the Arts in Basic Curriculum Grant and was re-designated as an Arts in Basic Curriculum certified school during the 2020-2021 school year. As an Arts in Basic Curriculum school, T.E. Mabry prides itself on integrating the visual and performance arts across content areas while also having over one-forth of the student body involved in a year long visual and/or performing art course. This year, T. E. Mabry offered several classes such as Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Probability and Statistics, English I, Public Speaking, Computer Applications, and Art I for high school credit to its eighth grade students. We continue to have a successful Junior Beta Club with over 150 students actively involved. Our athletic teams had a great year, with record numbers of students participating. T. E. Mabry continues to offer Project Lead the Way's Gateway curriculum which includes the following courses: Design and Modeling, Automation and Robotics, and Medical Detectives. T. E. Mabry Middle School is very grateful to the SIC for the support each group provided throughout the year. Our goals continue to be the academic success of all students and to ensure they are college and career ready.
