The Denmark-Olar High School community is a very strong supporter of Denmark-Olar High School.  The community has high expectations for Denmark-Olar High School, both academically and athletically. Denmark-Olar High School is helping all students develop the world class skills, life skills, and career characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a challenging learning environment for all students. While the community is small and rural, the diversity of the community is an added bonus, as it affords students an opportunity to be exposed to a plethora of cultural experiences at school and in the community.

Denmark-Olar High School’s teachers and staff are fully committed to preparing each student to being successful at Denmark-Olar High School and in life. Denmark-Olar High School provides all students access to a rigorous academic program that includes Advanced Placement, College Prep, and Dual Enrollment through Denmark Technical College. Additionally, all students are given the opportunity to enroll in CTE courses that, upon successful completion, leads to various industry certifications. Teachers develop Student Learning Objectives (SLO) that are specifically related to improving student performance. The faculty and staff at Denmark-Olar High School continues to work extremely hard to improve the graduation rate, student attendance and End-of-Course test scores at Denmark-Olar High School.

All teachers at Denmark-Olar High School are fully certified, and as a result, Denmark-Olar High School received an "All Clear" accreditation rating from the South Carolina Department of Education. In an effort to develop well-rounded students, the faculty and staff at Denmark-Olar High School encourages students to participate in numerous organizations, activities and athletics. Denmark-Olar High School has traditionally experienced success in numerous athletic programs, band, and other organizations. In fact, many of the aforementioned programs have earned state awards and been recognized nationally.

The Denmark-Olar High School faculty and staff, coupled with strong community support, are fully committed to continuing to provide each student with a quality education that will enable every student to become a productive, successful, and responsible citizen.
