At New Prospect Elementary, we are committed to providing a quality, student-centered education to our students. We do this by continuing to examine our school data, programs, activities, and teaching strategies. The 2021-2022 school year was another year of pandemic teaching, but we still continued to provide students with a safe, caring, nurturing, and academically sound environment.
We were named an Art in Basic Certified School again this year and have continued to integrate the arts throughout the school in every grade level. We are thankful for grants such as Arts in the Basic Curriculum and Distinguished Arts Program to help us accomplish this. Students in all grade levels were able to participate in art residencies throughout the year. Several teachers were recipients of the Tryon Fine Arts “ Big Grants”.
Professional development continues to be a priority of our faculty and staff. Teachers participated in a variety of staff development opportunities. We really dug deep into learning more about iReady and how to effectively use it to ensure student growth and development.
New Prospect Elementary School, in partnership with its entire community, is helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a positive, challenging, and enriching learning environment. Our students, faculty, and staff continue to support charitable causes to help our community. New Prospect also collected over 2,000 canned foods for local food banks. This could not have been possible without the generous support of our school community.
Developing and fostering positive relationships between the school and community is of utmost importance to New Prospect. Our staff is committed to serving every student in our school and helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. The NPE school family is committed to providing a school environment that fosters students having a student-centered education.
We appreciate the support of our families, community partners, PTO members, and SIC members. We look forward to the continual development of our school. We enjoy sharing these experiences on our school social media pages so our community and school partners can follow our journey. Thanks for all you do!
