Ridge View Arts Innovation for Medical Sciences Magnet has two specialized magnets, the Scholars Academy Magnet of Business and Law and the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), and four schools-within-a-school, Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID), Carolina Alliance for Technology (CAT), AVID Early College, and the School for the Arts (SFA). Although this school year taught us to be flexible, we remained focused on our vision - Prepare Today for Success Tomorrow.
Our first cohort of Richland Two AVID Early College students graduated with not only their high school diploma but also an Associates degree from the University of South Carolina-Sumter. The Scholars Academy and Institute of Health Science programs received the Magnet Schools of America (MSA) School of Distinction Award. Over 91% of the Class of 2021 graduated with their College and Career Readiness credential. We thank those parents, faculty, and community members who have worked with us and we encourage representation from every student and parent organization that exists at Ridge View High school.
