Aiken High School is helping all students develop the world class skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by creating an educational environment that is focused on fostering creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. The Profile of the South Carolina graduate is evident in Aiken High’s 2021 graduating class. Our 2021 graduates’ critical thinking and communication skills earned them over $14 million in scholarships. Aiken High School Class of 2020 included numerous Palmetto Fellows and ten Rotary scholarships recipients. Ninety-three students will be receiving free tuition at a South Carolina technical or two-year institution for being awarded the LIFE scholarship. Seventy-four students will be receiving HOPE or LIFE at a four-year institution. There were also 14 seniors that received the Watson-Brown Foundation scholarship which awards 20,000 over 4 years. And for nearly every local scholarship, a recipient is sitting before us. There are 7 students who have decided to proudly serve our country and will be joining the armed forces.
Aiken High School is continuing to persevere during these times to expand our Cambridge programs and offerings to all students. That expansion includes well over 100 students receiving passing scores on international exams. We are proud of the relationship we have established between our community, families, and faculty that has allowed us to create an educational environment that allows our students to shine.
