“Our school is helping all of its students develop the world-class skills and life career characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate.” We accomplish this by promoting the skills necessary for students to experience success in the workforce as well as in post-secondary educational opportunities.
The 2024-2025 school year was an outstanding school year as we continued to advance the mission of Fox Creek High School by impacting our local community. Our students excelled in the classroom. Clubs and activities grew in number and school impact. Building projects resulted in additional facilities for our students and student athletes. The 2024-2025 school year was a year defined by growth.
As our seniors looked ahead to life after high school, 100% of them applied to colleges and/or universities. Our students were exposed to college and career opportunities through an EdOps college fair that visits the school in October. We experienced an outstanding number of seniors graduating on time and we expect that number to surpass 95%. The work of our guidance department lead to almost all of our senior class having plans for their postsecondary lives.
Our students performed very well on standardized testing. EOC tests were up 11% over all with the largest increase occurring in math. Our testing coordinator ensured that 100% of our students were tested. 76% of the students tested earned SC Career Ready Status.
Our dual enrollment program has successfully completed its 13th year and continues to offer 42 hours of potential college credit. We offer a Teacher Cadet program, four History courses, four Math courses, including Calculus, two Biology courses, and two English courses. In addition to these 42 hours of credit, we also offered AP Environmental Science, AP Biology, and the newly added AP Spanish.
Our fine arts department continues to excel. The number of students participating in art and drama have increased over the last couple of years. The art students participated in and won several local contests. The drama department performed "Little Shop of Horrors" this spring and did a tremendous job.
Our faculty continues to develop professionally. Several of our educators have enrolled in advance degree programs and a few completed advanced degree programs in various post-graduate programs of study. As our educators advance themselves professionally, we are pleased to pass their success forward to our students in the form of additional programs.
We look forward to continued progress in the 2025-2026 school year. At Fox Creek High School the goal continues to be the success of all students. This is a goal that cannot be achieved without the continued support of faculty, staff, and board members. We are excited about all that the new school year holds for our outstanding students and faculty.
