PINE RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL
The administration, staff, and School Improvement Council at Pine Ridge Middle School are dedicated to the success of all students in developing World-Class Knowledge Skills and career characteristics reflected in the Profile of the SC Graduate. We are dedicated to a safe learning environment for our staff and students and to the continued growth of our many exciting and innovative programs.
In order to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students, our teachers continue to grow and develop capacity in the Professional Learning Community processes and practices, where we envision ourselves to become a Model Professional Learning Community School. Teachers use Achievement Teams to focus on essential learning through a collaborative, systematic process designed to raise all students in order to meet their fullest potential. We have a designated daily time for teachers to provide students with strategic and targeted instruction based on individual student needs. Students are actively involved in enrichment opportunities such as the Student Council, Academic Challenge, Chess, and Drama.
We have begun designing and building an outdoor learning classroom and exploratory center, where students have the opportunity to engage in learning in a natural environment that fosters creativity and curiosity. In addition, we are deepening our collaboration with our feeder schools to strengthen the transition between levels. Together, we have worked without hesitation and have done our very best to make Pine Ridge Middle School a better place in which to learn and work.
Building relationships to strengthen the home/school connection is important, and we hosted a number of events for families in the 2023-2024 school year, among them a Winter Gallery Walk, Family Bingo Night, and Math and Science Night. As we head into 2024-2025, we hope to continue building engagement through these kinds of events, as well as a strong School Improvement Council, volunteering opportunities, business partnerships, and increased family and community involvement.
We will continue to move toward our goal of providing a learning environment where all students can achieve academic success and become leaders based on World Class Knowledge and Skills. In connection with our mission to empower and inspire students at all levels to become critical thinkers and to make positive contributions to our community, we are creating diverse learning opportunities for continued success now and in the future. We look forward to another rewarding school year in 2024-25.
