Bell’s Crossing helps all students develop world-class skills educating the whole child. We believe our children should be independent thinkers where exploration leads to meaningful experiences. We believe collaboration between the child, school and home builds a stronger foundation to educate our children. We believe everyone can be a leader and that responsibility builds character.
Bell’s Crossing has been recognized across the state and nation for its accomplishments. The school is a recipient of the Palmetto’s Finest and Palmetto Gold Award for its high academic achievement. We are a National School of Character and a RAMP School for our outstanding guidance program. Bell’s Crossing has had its teachers recognized as Distinguished Reading and Math Teachers in our district. We are a Safe Kids School, Exemplary Writing School, and Southern Association Accredited School. Bell’s Crossing continues to achieve at the highest of levels.
The school provides extensive leadership opportunities for students through Student Council, Junior Beta Club, Peer Tutors, News Team, and Community Service Projects. The School Improvement Council is active, monitors the school’s goals, and serves as an advisory board with input on school improvements. The Parent Teacher Association supports the school with strong programs and financial resources.
Technology is an important aspect at Bell’s Crossing Elementary. The school is a Personalized Learning School which provides a computer to every third through fifth grade student and an iPad for every two students, kindergarten through second grade. The school has a virtual field trip lab that enables students to interact with astronauts from NASA, botanists from the Royal Botanical Gardens of Canada, and Veterans from the World War II Museum in Washington DC. These experiences enrich and expand our children’s studies. Our school continues to implement 21st century skills in the classroom to better prepare our students for the world in front of them.
Bell’s Crossing strives to provide the best education for our students. Our school climate promotes a supportive learning environment designed to educate the whole child, enabling them to soar and succeed, to grow and to lead.
