Here, at Lakeview Middle School (LMS) our mission is Every Student, Every Staff Member, Every Family, Every Day! We understand that it take all of us working together to meet the educational, emotional, and developmental needs of every one of our students. We are located in an urban area between Furman University and downtown Greenville. Our school population consists of approximately 640 students. We strive for excellence for the sake of our school and community. It is our priority to build strong relationships with parents and community members, to ensure that the students of Lakeview Middle School experience success in all areas. Our partnership with the United Way of Greenville and the Ontrack Greenville initiative is stronger than ever and we are excited to see positive results from the collaboration. Fueled by a federal Social Innovation Fund grant, United Way of Greenville County, the Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy, The Riley Institute at Furman University and nonprofit partners, have teamed up with Lakeview Middle School to transform our community’s ability to help our middle school students stay on track, graduate and build a successful, thriving future. We have also partnered with The Cura Foundation for the first time this school year. Cura provides support for our entire school community through their mentoring program, student incentives and teacher recognition incentives. . To guarantee the success of all our students, our school offers several advanced and honors level classes to challenge our students. Our curriculum offers courses for high school credit to include Spanish 1, English 1 Honors, Art 1, and Algebra 1 Honors. Recent awards earned by our students include the 2014 Boys Soccer Championship, 2012 Runner UP Boys Soccer, a score of Excellent in the SCMEA Concert Festival, and a Superior Rating for our strings class.
