Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School is the home of the RSM Trojans. We are a small, rural combined middle/high school in the heart of SC Peach Country with a wealth of tradition and a strong connection to our community. Our students are committed to being responsible neighbors and productive members of the community. Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School is helping all students develop World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Caroling Graduate by continuing our emphasis on college and career preparedness with consistent development of 21st Century Skills through advanced academic and CATE course offerings and opportunities, to include our growing AP and dual enrollment programs and our signature completer programs in agriculture, health science, and business.
RSM enables all students to be able to develop the world class skills and career characteristics of the Profile of the SC Graduate through a direct focus on literacy and critical thinking skill development in all classes. Our students develop real-world connections to quality post-secondary opportunities including two-year and four-year colleges through participation and success in advanced coursework. These include Advanced Placement courses and dual enrollment opportunities as a result of continued partnerships with Aiken Technical College & USC-Aiken. Our staff encourages students who may not be planning on attending a four year college to take the steps necessary to become 21st century career-ready through enrollment at the Aiken County Career Center and/or attaining work-based learning or apprenticeship opportunities.
In our counseling conferences with our students, we focus on helping our students develop reasonable action plans to achieve their goals and dreams. Each month, we meet in small groups to discuss character values, such as integrity, cooperation, and judgment. Through it all, we strive to keep in sync with the surrounding community, thus remaining “the center of the community.” Please stop by and see us sometime up on the Ridge. You are always welcome.
