We believe that academic achievement is the focus each and every day at Hunter- Kinard- Tyler High School. In order to prepare students to meet the qualifications of the profile of the South Carolina Graduate, we must be data driven and provide rigor, relevance, and foster positive relationships. We want each graduate to have world class knowledge, world class skills, and the life and career characteristics to compete locally, nationally, and globally. In order to prepare students to become South Carolina Career and College Ready graduates, they are exposed to the sixteen career clusters throughout the school year. Students visit the Cope Career Center and are introduced to the various fields of study. Students are able to enter the programs during their sophomore or junior years in high school. Students also have the opportunity to participate in internships, apprenticeships, and externships. These real world experiences prepare our students to become productive citizens.
