We are happy to provide you with this report showing our district’s progress. Our teachers and students are rebounding from Covid and our report card results are indicative that we have made much progress in the last year. It is our intent to provide quality educational programs and services to all our students. This report card helps us to determine how our students are doing and how these planned programs are working.
In 2021 – 2022 Hampton County School District was created from the former Hampton One and Hampton Two districts. By consolidating we are expanding opportunities county wide for students, families, and our community.
Our district is helping all students develop the world class skills and life and career characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by offering a wide variety of rigorous academic and vocational courses. We are continuing our college, career, and vocational offerings through partnerships with The Technical College of the Low Country, Denmark Tech, and USC-Salkehatchie. Our Early College program continues to grow; allowing enrolled students to earn both high school and college credit.
Hampton County School District continues to provide all students with the highest quality education that equips them to succeed in an evolving world. Besides a wide array of academic courses including dual-enrollment courses that allow both high school and college credit to be earned, we have many clubs and afterschool opportunities in which students can participate including drama, sports, clubs, art, chorus, and STEM activities.
We believe students learn best in an environment conducive to learning and we are empowering our students to achieve excellence and positively impact the global community. We recently received $52,000,000 from the State to use toward building a new High School for our students. We are excited about the new programs we will be able to offer.
We wish to thank each parent and our community for their continued support. We thank our Board of Trustees for their outstanding leadership. We expect to have a very productive 2022-2023 school year.
