At Robert Anderson Middle School, we are committed to the Anderson 5 mission, "To educate students who are college and career-ready and will positively contribute to an ever-changing world." We purposefully align our academic and extracurricular programs to foster the world class skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate, ensuring every student is equipped for future success. We challenge our students daily by implementing a rigorous curriculum and utilizing high-quality instructional materials across all academic areas. This academic foundation ensures students are not just memorizing facts, but are learning how to analyze data, solve complex problems, and advance confidently to the next grade level and toward high school graduation. Whether presenting an academic project, collaborating on the playing field, or performing on stage, RAMS students are also constantly refining their communication skills. Through our Fine Arts programs, students explore their creative potential and learn to think outside the box. Whether they are playing an instrument in band or strings, interpreting character in theater or chorus, or creating visual masterpieces in art, our students have the opportunity to bring their creative skills to life. Robert Anderson students build vital interpersonal skills, learn accountability, and practice collective goal-setting by participating ina wide range of sports both at the middle and high school levels. We also provide clubs and other student organizations such as Beta Club, Robotics Competition Team, and RAMS Ambassadors that promote a well-rounded school experience. By balancing intense academics with diverse extracurricular outlets, we prepare our students to become articulate, productive, and positive contributors to society.
