Lexington High School remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering students who embody the World-Class Skills outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. We strive to cultivate lifelong learners equipped to thrive in a global society. Through a collaborative partnership involving families, students, educators and community members, we deliver a comprehensive curriculum and instruction that champions diversity, unity, integrity, character, initiative and collegiality among our students. Our ongoing mission is to prepare students for success in college, career, citizenship and life, with a strong emphasis on acquiring world-class knowledge and developing essential life and career skills.
This year, we further leveraged the “Learn, Grow and Excel Playbook” to design intentional learning experiences and foster a culture where teachers continuously monitor progress, refine methods and collaborate on best practices. This has directly impacted the quality of instruction in every classroom. The success of our students is a direct reflection of the unwavering dedication, care and professionalism of our teaching staff. The graduating Class of 2026 exemplifies this commitment, showcasing remarkable achievements across various domains.

In our commitment to career readiness, LHS achieved significant success in our work-based learning experiences, with 55 students actively participating in internships during the 2025–26 school year. Additionally, students identified "communicator" as their most developed Lexington One Graduate Profile trait due to the Elevator Pitch and Career Expo components. The high ratings of the "Career Research" (3.69/4) and "First Paycheck" (3.36/4) assignments prove that students highly value practical, financial and logistical preparation for adulthood.
Athletic and Extracurricular Achievements
LHS students continue to excel in athletics and extracurricular activities. With 49 Athletic Teams and 68 Clubs, students are encouraged to pursue their passions. This year, our students maintained high levels of success, building upon notable previous achievements such as the Varsity Cheerleading Team and the Girls Lacrosse Team being named state champions, and the LHS Aerial Drone team 1732 A winning the All Around Champion Award. We also celebrated many individual successes, including students enlisting in the military and earning recognition in fine arts.
This sample of achievements underscores the vibrant and well-rounded educational experience at LHS, where students are encouraged to pursue their passions and develop their potential.
As we celebrate the 2025–26 school year, we remain dedicated to our motto: “Enter to learn, leave to serve.” We are incredibly proud of our students and their readiness to make a positive impact on the world. Their journey, marked by perseverance, resilience, and an unwavering spirit, is a testament to the strong relationships forged within our community — between teachers and students, the school and families and among the students themselves. We are confident that the students of LHS will embrace the future with courage, compassion, and a commitment to building a better world, carrying the Wildcat spirit wherever they go.
