The past year has been one where our student body, faculty, and community truly embraced and embodied our slogan “We Are Better Together”!
From our opening assembly on the first day of school, our school has continuously demonstrated a unified school spirit. We continue to review academic data and adjust our curriculum and programs to meet the needs of every student. For the first time in school history, TRHS received an overall rating of Good on the current SC Accountability model. This achievement is due to the hard work of the students and staff of TRHS.
Additionally, our extra-curricular activities have expanded and have experienced significant success. Our fine arts department continues to win multiple state-level awards. Our Student Council demonstrated our strength in student leadership by continuing to raise an amazing amount of money for charity during our December toy drive. The Student Council was also recognized as being in the top two councils in the state for the fifteenth consecutive year and was named a National Gold Honor Council for the thirteenth time. Athletically, we continue to experience growth in our success, with multiple playoff berths, region championships, and several all-state and North-South team members. As always, we maintain a commitment to continuous improvement. We study our school-wide data on a constant basis and make the necessary adjustments to our instructional program. Looking forward to the 2026-27 school year, we are making the necessary adjustments to maintain our quality educational program in the face of continued budget challenges. These are just a few of our accomplishments and efforts to ensure that Travelers Rest High School will continue to be the best possible school for our students. Thank you for your support and assistance as we continue to work together for our students.
