Boiling Springs High School is committed to providing a safe environment where students are academically, athletically, and artistically challenged and supported. Our mission of ensuring all students have access to a quality education entrenched in world-class skills helps us to focus on the whole-child, modeling our progress after the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate.
We once again saw many accomplishments this year in academics, specifically growth in the overall progress of our EOC courses. Algebra 1 and United States History and the Constitution are where we saw the most growth, with an improvement of 20% and 6% C or higher, respectively, from 2022 - 23 to 2023-24. Biology and English EOC scores continue to exceed the state average.
Athletics continue to be a point of emphasis at Boiling Springs High School as we are seeing the results of the commitment of our athletes to the weight room and offseason training. Many of our student-athletes have been rewarded with All-Region and All-State recognition as a result of their hard work and the dedication of our coaching staffs. The combined effort in the classroom and on their field of play has led to multiple students earning scholarships and signing commitment letters to compete at the college level. 3 teams won Region Titles, 17 of our athletes signed to play a sport in college, we had 70 All-Region Athletes, 12 All-State Athletes, 2 athletes named Region Player of the Year, 1 All-American Athlete. We also were able to celebrate the academic achievements of 56 seniors who earned Scholar Athlete accolades.
Our fine arts program provided stellar performances this year. Our Bulldog Marching Band, Choral Department, and Orchestra earned several outstanding accolades during both fall and spring seasons.
The BSHS Orchestra program differentiated into 3 levels of ensemble to facilitate better training for incoming freshmen and to allow advanced students the opportunity to perform more challenging repertoire. The top ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, performed for the Boiling Springs Business Association Banquet in the fall, and pushed their concert repertoire level up to 4 and 5 (previously 3.5 at the most.)
BSHS Chamber Orchestra will be performing a senior-student-written arrangement of Monte Czardas, featuring two senior soloists.
BSHS Orchestra also hosted clinics with Music professors from USC Upstate, Converse College and North Greenville University.
In February, the All-State Orchestra event was held on Campus at Boiling Springs High School for the first time.
Symphonic and Chamber orchestras received excellent and superior ratings for grade 3 and 4 repertoire at CPA.

Boiling Springs High School continues to value strong partnerships with our community. This year, we once again saw our annual Homecoming parade, our third-annual Bulldog Fall Festival, and our 2nd Annual Spring in the Springs community event, seeing hundreds of people in attendance. We welcomed the return of our annual Turkey Bowl featuring flag football amongst our classes with the final game culminating in the winning team challenging the faculty/staff team for ownership of the coveted Spirit Stick.
