During the 2025–2026 school year, Columbia High School reached a historic milestone by earning an Average rating on the South Carolina School Report Card for the first time in over a decade. This accomplishment reflects the collective effort of our faculty, staff, students, families, and community partners, and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to instructional excellence and continuous improvement.
Our academic progress over the past several years has been significant. Additionally, End-of-Course examination performance continues to show steady gains, and our Multilingual Learners and Special Services students continue to thrive due to targeted support and intentional instructional practices.
Columbia High School remains a leader in providing rigorous and meaningful learning opportunities through our Magnet School Assistance Program (MSAP) Grant. This five-year initiative offers students pathways in Aerospace, Engineering, and Biomedical Sciences, allowing them to explore high-demand career fields while earning dual credit. Our students also benefit from programs such as AVID and Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), which promote college readiness, career exploration, and leadership development. Our nationally recognized AFJROTC program and Teacher Cadet program further expand opportunities for student growth and service.
Our students continue to achieve at high levels both inside and outside the classroom. During the 2025–2026 school year:
