Our school is helping all students develop the World Class skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by developing an academic foundation and by promoting health and well-being.
The 2024-2025 school year at Arcadia Elementary was a success! We are very proud of the academic and social-emotional growth demonstrated by our students over the course of the year. Through the support of our parents and families, and the hard work of our teachers and staff, much was accomplished. Our students have shown what it means to be responsible, respectful, and resilient learners and have taken meaningful steps forward in their development.
Our active School Improvement Council met throughout the school year to discuss student progress and to collaborate on school-wide goals, student activities, and family engagement. From field trips, school-sponsored clubs, and school-wide events, our students were provided with many opportunities to participate beyond the classroom. Events like our Career Day, Literacy Night, Math-Science Night, and Family Fun Night were well-attended and provided family fun while building school community.
Once again, Arcadia Elementary was fortunate to have dedicated support from the community. Members from Wofford College, USC Upstate, Una Fire Department, and Spartanburg Rotary Club spent quality time with us helping, teaching, and supporting our students. Through their generosity and engagement, we were able to provide our students a more enriching and supportive environment. Arcadia Elementary benefits significantly from these partnerships, and our overall school programming was certainly enhanced through the efforts of our volunteers and partners.
As we look ahead to the 2025-2026 school year, we do so with excitement and with purpose. We will build on the lessons and experiences of this year to strengthen our school community even more. Our high expectations for all students to achieve academic, social, and emotional growth, will continue to drive our decision-making. A strong foundation is being established at Arcadia, and our shared commitment to helping all students develop into successful lifelong learners.
