Crestwood High School (CHS), an exciting educational environment that houses students in grades 9-12, assists students in developing world-class knowledge through problem-solving, critical thinking, and a comprehensive educational experience. Due to the continuous focus of our mission, Keeping Academics and Citizenship First and Foremost. The total of scholarships offered to graduates was over $4million.
World-class skills were embedded in faculty professional development to deepen teachers’ growth and understanding of these valuable twenty-first-century skills. Moreover, faculty and staff learned school-wide SEL strategies centered on relationships and built on the existing strengths of our school community as we continued to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Career and Technology Education (CTE) department provided opportunities for CHS students to learn and enhance world-class skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and communication. Additionally, our CTE teachers helped students enhance their skills in digital literacy through various business education classes. Students were taught to think critically about the vast amount of information that comes their way every day through differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and formative assessments. A variety of teaching and learning activities with the integration of the one-to-one initiative were used to enhance students’ online learning experiences.
CHS, with its positive student-friendly environment, offered a variety of initiatives that exposed students to life and career characteristics. Furthermore, Junior ROTC, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), etc. afforded students the opportunity to learn self-direction, integrity, perseverance, strong work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
The CHS administration and faculty will continue to work with community members to provide a well-rounded educational experience for all students. We invite you to visit our website or school for more information.
