Our school is helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a wealth of opportunities for growth and success in the classroom and beyond. We believe our school motto, Scientia est Potentia (Knowledge is Power), applies to all aspects of life, not just academics. We also follow a mantra of, Every Student...Every Day. This allows us to focus on what is truly important, the individual student.
Freshman who enroll at Woodmont High School become ingrained in the culture of the school through the Freshman Academy. This sets them on the path to success. The collaborative environment of the Freshman Academy allows students to grow together as learners. This community spirit is continued through a variety of resources during their time at Woodmont. Our Peer Tutoring program adds an additional layer of inclusion and community which provides an inclusive way for students to make connections and collaborate for success.
Woodmont has one of the highest graduation rates in Greenville County and was recently recognized as a Palmetto's Finest High School. We offer a diverse curriculum that allows our students to pursue their own path to success. Students have the options of IB, AP Capstone or Dual Credit, participation in our nationally recognized fine arts program, and enrollment in a host of Career and Technology pathways (Agriculture, Business, Health Science, Foods and Nutrition, Teacher Cadet, Digital Media Arts). We also have an exceptional Army JROTC program for our students to enroll in. Students can pursue their passions at Woodmont High School. Also, our athletic program has thirty-four teams in fourteen sports, competing at the AAAAA level. All these programs and opportunities build creativity, innovative thinking skills, and encourage responsibility, maturity, and excellence.
