Crescent High School exists to prepare, equip, and inspire students to be productive, responsible, and passionate citizens. With the leadership and support of the Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees and District Office Administration, Crescent continues to provide premier opportunities for students to explore and gain the knowledge, skills, and characteristics embodied by the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. It is the goal of Crescent High School that every graduate is college- and/or career-ready, and we strive to have rigorous academic, career, and technical programs that meet the talents of our students and needs of our community. In the 2019-20 school year, Anderson Institute of Technology opened and made eighteen career and technical education (CATE) programs available to our students. These opportunities are in addition to the four CATE programs housed on our campus. Since the 2020-21 school year, Crescent has expanded its Advanced Placement (AP) offerings to include AP English Language, AP Drawing, AP 2-D Art and Design, AP 3-D Art and Design, and AP European History. In addition, Crescent will continue its partnerships with Tri-County Technical College, Anderson University, and Clemson University to offer numerous on- and off-campus dual enrollment opportunities.
The Crescent High School Class of 2024 had 185 graduates, 122 Life Scholarship recipients, 11 Honor graduates, 23 High Honor graduates, and 12 Palmetto Fellows. 7 graduates earned certificates from Tri-County Technical College.
Each year, the faculty and staff of Crescent High School work diligently to provide a learning environment where students can excel. This year, we are incredibly proud of our team’s dedication to intentional planning, instruction, and assessment. This dedication was proven by our students’ EOCEP results. Algebra 1, English 2, Biology, and US History all showed gains in the percent of students earning a passing grade.
Crescent students’ success in the classroom continues to be supported by their success in athletic and co-curricular programs. In the 2023-24 school year, Crescent Baseball won the Region I-AAA Championship, Crescent Softball won the District 2 Championship, Crescent Girls Cross Country qualified for the state AAA meet, Crescent Volleyball earned a spot as a state playoff qualifier, and Crescent Wrestling was region runner-up. Crescent Band had a phenomenal year making its second state appearance in school history, earning the AAA Color Guard Championship, and being recognized as one of the top 10 marching bands in AAA. Crescent FFA was named a National Silver Emblem Chapter, and the Crescent Elite Shooters won the SCTP National Championship. At Crescent High School, we appreciate the support of our community and stakeholders. We are proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence. Go Tigers!
