In the realm of literacy, Monaview continues to implement Language Training for Reading and Spelling (LTRS) this year, grounded in the Science of Reading methodology backed by brain research and evidence-based teaching strategies. Furthermore, our educators participate in professional development studies led by experts like Dr. Nicki Newton in Guided Math and Sherry Parrish in Number Talks to elevate math instruction tailored to individual student needs.

Technology integration is another vital aspect of professional development at Monaview, with each student benefiting from a 1:1 Chromebook initiative. Through strategic training sessions, our teachers leverage technology as personalized learning tools, enabling students to extend their learning in meaningful ways.

In addition to academic enrichment, Monaview implements a variety of programs to support students' educational and social development, such as Social Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, Conscious Discipline, intervention programs in reading and math, and various extracurricular activities.

Our school-wide expectations of "respect yourself, respect others, and respect the environment" are consistently reinforced through positive behavior modeling, recognition, and rewards. Students who exemplify these expectations earn Pride Paws, which can be redeemed at our school store or used for quarterly celebrations and special activities.
