Conway High School offers many extracurricular opportunities in athletics and the arts that help students grow into well-rounded adults with gifts and talents in diverse disciplines. During the 2021-2022 school year, our athletics teams made great gains. The Conway golf, tennis, baseball, softball, football, and boys basketball teams advanced to regional playoffs. The boys and girls golf teams were among the Top 10 in the state. Thirteen senior athletes plan to play at the collegiate level, five senior student-athletes were selected as North-South All-Star Players, and three senior student-athletes were selected as Class AAAAA All-State players.
In the fine arts, our students participated in theatre, band, and visual art performances and competitions throughout the school year that culminated in one theatrical production, Wizard of Oz.
Conway High School is proud of the academic gains of our students while experiencing this past school year in a pandemic. Conway is also proud of the continual growth of our STEM program, a program that offers opportunities for students in Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmacology, Sports Medicine, and Veterinary Science. Students enrolled in our Project Lead The Way Engineering, Computer Science, and Biomedical Science programs earn honors credit and can potentially earn dual enrollment credit. Students who enroll in Pharmacology Technology, Veterinary Science, and Medical Billing and Coding can have the opportunity to earn a national certification that can launch them into a career immediately after graduating from high school. Conway celebrated a 100% passage rate on both the Introduction to Veterinary Science and Agricultural Mechanics & Technology end-of-course exams.
