Our school provides such an academic environment for success by progress monitoring and individual academic growth through the multi-tiered systems of support, or MTSS. The evidence of increased instructional time, reduced behavioral incidences, and targeted academic accountability is clearly designated as a rating of “Good” on The South Carolina State Report Card, 100% Passage Rate for 8th grade students who took Algebra I and/or English I in 2019 and 2020, and the incorporation of research-based tiered interventions such as Fountas & Pinnell and AIMSweb. This level of academic growth and success is due to the efforts of our teachers, students, parents, and external stakeholders. Teachers continuously strive to stay abreast of current trends and best practices through attending professional development sessions and workshops. By utilizing the current trends, engaging in best practices, and having high expectations, students are challenged to reach their full academic potential.
Our teachers are constantly seeking ways to improve professionally by closing the learning gaps for all students. Hemingway M.B.
