Calhoun Falls Charter School’s academically challenging learning environment has produced numerous local, state, and national awards to include America’s Best High School (U.S. News and World Report); “A” ESEA grades; SCDE School Report Card “Excellent” ratings; Title I Reward School; and Palmetto Gold.
Calhoun Falls Charter School promotes world-class knowledge and skills through a 1 to 1 device initiative in our middle school academy and dual enrollment offerings through Piedmont Technical College for high school students. Rigorous college preparatory and honors classes, along with dual enrollment opportunities, are offered as CFCS.
At Calhoun Falls Charter School, we demonstrate our mission not only by challenging our students with data-driven instruction and research-based practices, but also by providing them with opportunities to gain leadership skills through participation in South Carolina High School League sponsored athletic programs, along with school sponsored clubs and organizations such as Future Farmers of America, Student Government Association, and National Beta Club. Calhoun Falls Charter School has a premier FFA program, which has earned many local, state, and national awards.
Life and career characteristics are reinforced through the Calhoun Falls Charter School Character Education and Service Learning programs. Students volunteer many hours throughout their high school career. Volunteering helps our students in developing and improving skills and character traits such as integrity, work ethic, perseverance, and interpersonal skills.
Calhoun Falls Charter School is a Title One school. Teachers take advantage of professional growth opportunities provided by the district, conferences, and course programs. Teachers are instructional leaders by sharing best practices and technology strategies with their peers. Staff members are required to meet technology requirements for professional development and recertification. Calhoun Falls Charter School’s teachers model how learning is a life-long endeavor.
