East Clarendon Middle-High School, located in Turbeville, SC, proudly serves 710 students in grades 6-12. We are a close-knit family, and we strive to offer our students the best education possible. Our community and school work closely together truly reinforcing the quote: “It takes a village to raise a child.” East Clarendon aspires to aid all students in developing critical life skills, as well as career competency, to meet the attributes aligned with the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. This objective is executed through a comprehensive academic curriculum. ECMHS teachers provide quality instruction through the use of research-based best practice teaching strategies, instructional technology, and standards-based lessons.
During the 2020-2021 school year, we were all forced to live through a pandemic that swept through the world and our nation. East Clarendon Middle High School teachers, students, and parents had to adapt quickly in order for students to continue to receive a quality education. We are proud of the way our students, teachers, faculty, and staff worked together to overcome these obstacles.
The entire ECMHS force endeavors everyday to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of its students. Through reflection of practices, the faculty and staff monitors and adjusts its programming and methods to help all children reach their full potential. As a result, parents and the community continue to support the school and are proud of its students. The school and the surrounding community maintain responsibility for the positive development and progress of the school and the students by striving to work hard, get smart, and do right.
