Marlboro County School District is focused on strengthening the skills of all students and develop them into world class leaders with life characteristics that meet all components for the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. We are challenging all students that graduate from high school to be ready and prepared for life’s next step. Through the innovative and effective applications of technology, personal, and digital learning in our schools, we are increasing opportunities for students to be successful in school and beyond. Marlboro County School District believes that a quality education is critical to a child's future success and is committed to providing a solid foundation for learning along with social skills that support meaningful interactions throughout life. Whatever path a child chooses - college, career or military, Marlboro County School District represents an important step in the journey toward adulthood.
Marlboro County School District partners with Northeastern Technical College to help make it a reality that every student has an opportunity to graduate high school with a two-year associate degree or job-related technical certificate, such as but not limited to cosmetology, practical nursing, or welding.
The Northeastern Technical College Industry Training Center was developed in partnership with Northeastern Technical College, the Marlboro Economic Development Partnership, the Marlboro County School District, the North Eastern Strategic Alliance, and industry partners, the center partners with area industries to train workers for industrial and manufacturing jobs. It operates in a state-of-the-art building located centrally in our county to better serve our students and citizens. The center includes fully functioning training classrooms and a number of labs to support specialized training needed by individual industries for their workers. Additionally, the center is able to support programs that can offer options for high school students while they are currently completing their high school programs. The NETC industrial training center provides programs designed to train the community for careers in area industry and business, as well as providing students with degrees that transfer to four-year universities.
Our partnerships with local businesses, community and faith-based organizations play a vital role in a child's education. Our partnerships help support our pledge to provide each and every student with comprehensive educational opportunities to become life-long learners and productive citizens.
Through the frameworks of professional development, leadership, support, and academic excellence, we will remain true to our mission to educate and enable all students to achieve their highest potential. Our District theme #345, We love you! We care about you! We are here for you!, communicates our commitment to our students. As such, every division, every department and every school continues to work hard to make it a reality to prepare our students for the next level.
