Our district is helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing challenging curricula, internships, job shadowing experiences, and employment opportunities. We enable teachers to create personalized learning paths for our scholars by providing technology resources and professional learning opportunities.
The COVID-19 pandemic created new challenges when the governor ordered all schools closed March 16. We quickly put an eLearning plan together and continued to educate students. Our goal is to provide daily opportunities for students to acquire world-class knowledge and skills and to develop life and career characteristics. We challenge our students academically, support them socially, and provide encouragement and guidance to help them reach their DESTINATION… GRADUATION and beyond!
Our district is fortunate to have exceptional teachers, talented administrators, and dedicated support staff who are helping students reach their full potential every day. As students advance through the grades, their changing needs are addressed through varied curricular offerings, extracurricular activities, athletic programs, and student support services.
Our students are provided multiple service opportunities to positively impact our community and to save lives. CPR classes, blood drives, recycling projects, community clean-up activities, canned food drives, “Relay for Life,” “Christmas for Kids,” Safety Patrol, and Squad 51 are but a few of the ways students develop life and career characteristics essential for success when they graduate.
We make meaningful connections with students, parents, community members, and business leaders in order to create an involved and active learning community. Preparing students to be productive, contributing, and successful members of society is our mission. We are excited about the direction of our district, and we are especially proud of the continued success of our students. We remain mindful that there is always more work to do to reach our goals.
Our focus will continue to be DESTINATION…GRADUATION, and our efforts will center on leading the change in community culture so that every entity encourages students to graduate. We would like to thank our entire community for the support of our district and schools.
