Our mission, to connect hearts and minds in an effort to reach the highest level of student achievement, serves as the foundation of our work. We believe that students thrive when they feel valued, connected, and empowered to succeed. By fostering strong relationships, providing high quality instruction, and creating engaging learning experiences, we prepare students with the World Class Skills and Life and Career Characteristics outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate.
Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, our dedicated faculty and staff worked collaboratively to provide rigorous, student centered instruction while supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of every child. Through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), AVID instructional practices, 7 Mindsets, and data informed decision making, we remained focused on ensuring every student receives the support and opportunities needed to achieve success.
Our commitment extends beyond the classroom. We recognize that educating children is a shared responsibility among educators, families, and community partners. Through events such as Open House, Literacy Night, Family Math Night, Parent University, Night of the Arts, CreekFest, Grits for Grands, Family Book Clubs, and other family engagement opportunities, we strengthened relationships and celebrated learning together. These experiences reinforce our belief that when schools and families work together, students flourish.
Innovation also remains an important part of our instructional program. Students engage in collaborative, hands-on learning experiences supported by one-to-one technology, our media program, STEM learning opportunities, and leadership experiences such as the Jackson Creek News Show. These experiences encourage creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration while preparing students for future success.
Equally important is our commitment to developing the whole child. Through our schoolwide expectations, Investigators F.O.C.U.S., and the 7 Mindsets curriculum, students learn the importance of responsibility, perseverance, empathy, leadership, and positive decision making. We strive to create a school culture where every student feels safe, respected, connected, and inspired to learn each day.
As we continue our journey of continuous improvement, Jackson Creek Elementary remains focused on strengthening student achievement, increasing family engagement, building positive school culture, and providing equitable learning opportunities for every child. Our School Improvement Council, faculty, staff, families, and community partners share a common purpose and that is to ensure that every student reaches their highest potential.
