Report Card Narrative 2025-2026
At Limestone-Central Elementary School, our core belief is simple yet powerful: Every student, every day will experience excellent teaching that inspires, supports, and empowers them to reach their maximum potential. We are a dedicated community of learners committed to developing the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by fostering an environment of academic excellence and strong relational capacity.
True learning begins with connection. Through school-wide professional development, our faculty focuses on building deep relational capacity with and among students. This is lived out daily through student-developed classroom Social Contracts that promote collective efficacy and hold students accountable for personal and peer behaviors.
To ensure high student engagement and academic rigor, our teachers design standards-based lessons integrated with AVID strategies. By utilizing intentional callbacks, focused note-taking strategies, and organizational tools, we equip our students with the foundational skills necessary for lifelong success.
Our instructional model relies heavily on High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) and Cherokee County School District resources. Driven by ongoing assessment analysis, our teachers deliver standards-based, skills-focused small group instruction tailored to individual learner needs. During these sessions, students:
- Set and monitor personal learning goals for reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Actively engage in high-level learning expectations.
- Utilize hands-on manipulatives to strengthen their conceptual understanding of numbers, letters, and literacy.
- Collaborate respectfully and efficiently through academic discourse during "we do" instructional time, unlocking deeper discovery aligned with the SCCCR Mathematics and ELA Standards.
Our classrooms thrive on clear routines and procedures, effective questioning for understanding, and visible evidence of prior learning. Most importantly, Limestone-Central students are empowered to articulate exactly what they are learning, why they are learning it, and how they will know they have achieved their learning intentions and success criteria as they independently demonstrate mastery.
We believe in nurturing the whole child. Children at Limestone-Central learn positive character traits through a shared district vision where respect, responsibility, kindness, and effort are intentionally valued and rewarded. This is supported by vibrant PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) activities celebrated throughout the school year.
We are also proud of our strong community partnerships, including the opportunity for students to participate in the weekly Good News Club. Together—as educators, students, families, and community members—we are steadfast in our mission to inspire excellence and empower tomorrow's leaders every single day.
