T.E. Mabry Middle School is committed to helping all students develop the world-class skills and life and career characteristics outlined in the Profile of a South Carolina Graduate. We do this by providing a high-quality, student-centered education that prioritizes excellence in teaching and learning. Our mission, “Count on Me,” reflects our dedication to making a positive and lasting impact in every aspect of the educational experience.
Recognized as a South Carolina School to Watch since 2011, T.E. Mabry Middle continues to implement a developmentally responsive framework grounded in social equity, academic excellence, and effective organizational structures. In 2015, the school was also honored as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, a distinction that highlights our ongoing commitment to outstanding academic achievement.
As a proud recipient of the Arts in Basic Curriculum Grant, T.E. Mabry integrates visual and performing arts across all content areas. Nearly half of our students are enrolled in yearlong visual or performing arts courses. This year, our Band, Chorus, and Orchestra programs earned superior and excellent ratings at the annual Concert Performance Assessment, a testament to the strength and dedication of our fine arts programs.
Looking ahead, we are excited to offer several high school credit courses to our eighth-grade students, including Geometry, English I, Fundamentals of Computing, and Art I. Our Junior Beta Club continues to thrive with strong student participation, and our athletic teams have had a highly successful year, setting new records for student involvement.
We remain committed to supporting the social and emotional development of all students and are grateful for the invaluable support provided by our School Improvement Council (SIC) throughout the year.
At T.E. Mabry Middle School, our ongoing mission is to ensure every student achieves academic success and is fully prepared to be college and career ready.
