Carolina Springs Middle School, Home of the Huskies, is helping all students develop the World-Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. Nestled in the heart of the Red Bank area of Lexington, we proudly serve nearly 800 students in grades 6–8. At CSMS, we are driven by a collective purpose to ensure every student is seen, supported and inspired to succeed. Guided by the Lexington One Graduate Profile, our mission is to help every student learn, grow and excel — academically, socially and emotionally.
Our school continues to be recognized for its excellence. We have proudly maintained our designation as a National Forum School to Watch and remain an AVID College- and Career-Readiness Certified Site. Through the AVID instructional framework, our educators equip students with essential skills in writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization and reading, ensuring that all students are prepared for their futures.
CSMS is a place where students thrive in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. This year, we enhanced school culture through UNIFIED classes and participation in the Special Olympics, reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and belonging. Students had the opportunity to explore interests and build relationships through more than 40 IMPACK clubs.
Our community’s involvement remains a cornerstone of our success. We are deeply thankful for the active participation of our families and the unwavering support of our partners. From daily volunteers and PTSA/SIC involvement to event chaperones, family engagement has been robust and impactful. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Lexington County Mental Health, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Mark Rouse Jr. State Farm Insurance Agency, Hwy 55, Sonic Drive-In and Marco’s Pizza for their continued generosity. We also proudly supported Relay For Life of The Midlands and raised funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reinforcing our belief in giving back. Additionally, our Archery team was the state champions, traveling to national competitions this season!
As we reflect on our achievements, we remain steadfast in our commitment to long-term impact. We strive to empower students with resilience, purpose and the tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Entering the 2025–26 school year, we are guided by our theme, “One Pack, One Purpose: The Pride of Lexington One,” embodying our united effort to build a future where every student thrives.
I am honored to serve as principal of this exceptional school community and look forward to continuing our shared journey toward excellence. As Jon Gordon reminds us, “Positive energy is contagious. The more you give, the more it grows, and the more it inspires others to be their best.” Let’s embrace the year ahead with pride, purpose and passion.
Here’s to another incredible year at CSMS — One Pack, One Purpose!
