In another example of teamwork and collaboration, the Robotics team had a very successful season. Of these teams, four made it to the state championship, with two of these teams receiving an invitation to the VEX Worlds Competition. These two teams spent a week in Dallas, Texas competing with other middle school students from all over the world. Our program received a total of 22 awards throughout the season.
Academically, students continued to excel in many ways. In the fall of 2024, 111 8th grade students qualified to take the PSAT. Of that number, 22 were identified as Jr. Scholars. Five students were accepted into the Fine Arts Center in the areas of Theatre Design and Production, Jazz Theory and Performance, Architecture, and Recording Arts.
We are proud of the accomplishments of our students, staff, and school. Through the support of parents and community members, Blue Ridge Middle School will continue to provide opportunities for students and staff to showcase their talents and gifts to benefit the Blue Ridge Community.
