The 2025–2026 academic year marks a defining chapter in the story of Coastal High School. As we celebrate thirteen years of innovation and excellence, we do so with pride in what we have become: a school unlike any other, where students are not merely prepared for the future—they are empowered to shape it.
At Coastal High School, learning looks different. Our commitment to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) transforms classrooms into collaborative spaces where students tackle authentic challenges, think critically, and create meaningful solutions. Through continuous professional growth and a culture of inquiry, our educators inspire students to engage deeply with their learning, producing work that reflects creativity, purpose, and real-world impact.
Our success is rooted in the strength and diversity of our community. With enrollment at an all-time high, Coastal High School continues to attract students and families seeking an educational experience that goes beyond traditional expectations. We proudly reflect the rich diversity of our region and remain committed to ensuring that every student feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to succeed.
What truly sets Coastal High School apart is our belief that students should have a voice in the life of their school. Through student-led governance, committee participation, and weekly school-wide meetings, students actively contribute to decision-making and help shape the culture of our community. Here, leadership is not reserved for a select few—it is cultivated in every student.
Our partnership with Horry Georgetown Technical College provides students with expanded opportunities through PACE dual-enrollment courses, allowing them to earn college credit while still in high school. Combined with exceptional programs in the arts, wellness, and extracurricular activities, these experiences ensure that students graduate with the confidence, skills, and adaptability needed for success in college, careers, and life.
Throughout our history, Coastal High School has remained steadfast in its mission to develop compassionate, competent, and committed citizens. As we look ahead, we will continue to challenge conventional thinking, embrace innovation, and create opportunities that inspire curiosity, service, and personal growth.
Coastal High School is more than a place of learning—it is a community of thinkers, creators, leaders, and changemakers. It is a school where every student is known, every voice matters, and every day offers the opportunity to make a difference.
As we move forward together, we remain committed to redefining what education can be and to ensuring that Coastal High School continues to stand apart as a model of excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning.
Respectfully Submitted,
