Boiling Springs High School is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where students are challenged academically, athletically, and artistically. Guided by the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate, we focus on developing the whole child through a high-quality education grounded in world-class skills.
This year, we celebrated significant academic accomplishments. Our students showed strong growth in EOC courses, performing well above the state average. College and career readiness reached an all-time high, and our graduation rate remained above 90%. Our Advanced Placement students excelled, exceeding state and global averages in nearly all subjects. Additionally, 30 students earned the Seal of Biliteracy which is an amazing accomplishment.
In athletics, commitment to training paid off with two state championships (Boys and Girls Weightlifting), a wrestling state runner-up finish, and a Boys Lacrosse region championship. We proudly had 66 All-Region athletes, 8 All-State athletes, and 10 selected for the North/South All-Star game. Notable recognitions included the 5A Region 2 Male Athlete of the Year, three Region Coaches of the Year (Boys Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Baseball), an Assistant Coach of the Year (Boys Lacrosse), and a SC state coach of the year (Strength and Conditioning). Several student-athletes earned college scholarships and signed commitment letters.
Our fine arts programs had a stellar year. The Bulldog Marching Band, Choral Department, and Orchestra earned top honors. The Orchestra expanded to three ensembles, performed advanced repertoire, hosted clinics with university professors, and welcomed the All-State Orchestra event to our campus for the first time. Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras earned excellent and superior ratings.
Band accolades included 28 students selected to the Region 6 Honor Band, 2 to the All-State Honor Band, and 39 students earning superior ratings at the SCBDA Solo & Ensemble Festival. Our ensembles all achieved “Superior with Distinction” ratings, and the Wind Ensemble performed at Disney Springs. We were honored with the SCBDA Outstanding Performance Award for the third consecutive year. In visual arts, several students earned top awards at local and regional competitions.
Community engagement continued to thrive with events like our annual Homecoming Parade, Bulldog Fall Festival, Spring in the Springs, and the spirited Turkey Bowl, where students challenged faculty for the coveted Spirit Stick.
Thanks to our dedicated faculty and staff, supportive families, and strong community partnerships, we remain committed to putting students first and preparing them for life beyond graduation. In Bulldog Nation, every student finds a home where they are supported and encouraged to excel.
