For more than 20 years, Lake Marion High School and Technology Center has proudly served as a true community school, uniting the diverse communities of our attendance area through a shared commitment to educational excellence and student success. During the 2025–2026 school year, the Class of 2026 amassed more than $3.8 million in scholarship offers, reflecting the academic achievement, perseverance, and determination of our students, as well as the unwavering commitment of our teachers, counselors, and support staff. Our school has also demonstrated continuous improvement, steadily progressing from an Unsatisfactory state report card rating to a Below Average rating while remaining focused on reaching our goal of receiving a Good designation and beyond.
As a comprehensive high school with an integrated Technology Center, Lake Marion provides students with exceptional opportunities to prepare for college and careers through 13 Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways: Automotive Technology, Barbering, Computer Science, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Electrical Line Working, Engineering, Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Graphic Communications, Hospitality and Tourism, Masonry, Sports Medicine, and Welding. These diverse programs enable students to graduate with industry-recognized credentials, practical skills, and real-world experiences that position them for immediate employment or continued education. Through these pathways, our students have excelled in gaming, robotics, and Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) competitions, earning recognition as both state and national competitors.
Student success extends well beyond the traditional classroom. Participation in dual enrollment programs has increased significantly, providing students with greater access to college-level coursework while earning transferable college credit. In another historic accomplishment, Lake Marion celebrated its first three students to earn associate degrees prior to high school graduation during the 2025 school year and demonstrated true "Gator Grit" by doubling that number to six students in 2026, all of whom earned associate degrees before receiving their high school diplomas. These achievements exemplify our commitment to providing rigorous academic opportunities that prepare students to compete and succeed in a global society.
Our excellence is equally evident in athletics, fine arts, and student leadership. Lake Marion student-athletes continue to distinguish themselves by earning regional and state recognition while demonstrating excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Student involvement has expanded through increased participation in clubs and organizations, many of which have earned state recognition for leadership, scholarship, and service. Likewise, our Fine Arts Department continues to receive statewide accolades for outstanding performance and visual arts excellence, reinforcing our belief in educating the whole child through opportunities that inspire creativity, confidence, and character.
The steady progress reflected in our School Report Card is the result of a shared commitment to continuous improvement, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making. Every accomplishment represents the collective efforts of our students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners who believe in the transformative power of education.
