Ninety Six High School remains committed to providing the students of Greenwood School District 52 with opportunities to develop world-class skills and life and career characteristics aligned with the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. Our mission is to educate and empower all students to reach their full potential and to become productive, responsible citizens in an ever-evolving, diverse global society. We offer a rigorous academic program that promotes lifelong learning while fostering leadership within our community and beyond.
The Class of 2025 continued the tradition of excellence at Ninety Six High School. Of the 105 graduates, 66 plan to pursue post-secondary education, collectively earning over $735,000 in scholarship offers. This class included 19 Honor Graduates who maintained a GPA of 4.5 or higher throughout their four years. In addition, five students qualified for the prestigious Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, and 79% of graduates met the eligibility criteria for the South Carolina LIFE Scholarship.
Our students continue to thrive in college-level coursework through Advanced Placement offerings and dual enrollment partnerships with Piedmont Technical College, Lander University, and the Russell Technology Center. Notably, 100 of the 105 graduates from the Class of 2025 earned a College and/or Career Ready designation, highlighting their preparation for success beyond high school.
The title “Ninety Six Wildcat” is synonymous with excellence not only in academics but also in extracurricular achievements. Our students excel both in the classroom and in competitive arenas. Numerous athletes earned All-Region and All-State honors. The Ninety Six Volleyball team claimed the 2A Upper State Championship title and finished as runners-up in the 2A State Championship. In wrestling, two athletes placed at the state level, with several others qualifying for the state competition.
Our award-winning Wildcat Marching Band earned its 13th South Carolina Band Directors Association 1A State Championship. Additionally, the Indoor Percussion Ensemble was named the 2025 CWEA Champions and advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 WGI World Championships in the Open Division. The Culinary Arts program also represented the school with distinction, placing 4th at the 2025 South Carolina ProStart State Culinary Arts Competition in Spartanburg.
