Our School Profile
Located in the Taylors community, Eastside High School boasts a 55-year legacy of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts in Greenville County. Serving over 1,500 students, Eastside High is a Palmetto Gold Award recipient, and has been recognized as a top high school by Newsweek and USA Today, as well as a finalist for the Dick and Tunky Riley SIC Award.
With a dedicated staff of highly qualified teachers and counselors, Eastside High School provides a rigorous academic experience, along with comprehensive social and emotional wellness support to guide students through post-secondary transitions to college or careers. Eastside High School offers more than 25 Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses, along with a variety of Career and Technology Education courses in business, marketing, computer science, and sports medicine, enabling students to earn multiple certifications. Our vibrant Fine Arts department offers numerous opportunities for students to showcase their talents in choral performance, band, orchestra, visual arts, and theater through performances, competitions, and events at the school, local, and state levels. Partnerships with the J Harley Bonds Career Center, the CTE Innovation Center, and the Fine Arts Center further allow students to pursue specialized interests of their choosing.
Eastside students have ample opportunities to engage in activities beyond the classroom, with 23 title-winning athletic programs and over 30 clubs and organizations. Many athletic teams and student organizations compete at regional, state, and national levels, allowing students to demonstrate their abilities. Our annual Spirit Week brings together students, alumni, and community members to support a local student-selected charity.
Parent involvement is crucial to our success. Our active SIC and PTSA foster strong school-community relationships through outreach events and funding for classroom grants. The All Sports Booster Club tirelessly supports our 40 sub-varsity and varsity athletic teams.
