Central High School is helping all students develop the necessary skills and characteristics of the Profile of the Grauate by preparing all students for success beyond high school graduation. A continued focus for Central High School is to improve the graduation rate, prepare students to be college and/or career ready, and increase performance of End-of-Course Tests. The graduating Class of 2025 continued the academic successes of Central High School by receiving approximately 2 million dollars in scholarships for post-secondary education. Forty-six were honor graduates, with four students earning the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. Ninety-three students were recognized with certificates of completion in CATE (Career and Technology Education) programs. Many of these students also earned a career readiness industry credential. Beta Club, FFA, and DECA members gave numerous hours of community service in various areas, and faculty and staff raised money for Relay for Life.Central High School continues a combined PBIS/Olweus Anti-Bullying program and has an on-site mental health counselor three days a week.
In keeping with the district's theme of "Excellence in Academics, Arts, and Athletics," our school has continued success in arts and athletics. Central High's Fine Arts Department that consists of band, and chorus. Athletically, all teams for Central High School were competitive and demonstrated sportsmanship. A State Championship and Region Championships were won in the sports of Boys and Girls Track and Boys Golf. In addition, Central High School had student representatives for All-State in both Boys and Girls Golf. The initiatives and combined efforts of Central High's staff and community continue to produce positive results for both the school and communities in which we serve. We look forward to building on these successes and striving to achieve our mission of helping each student reach his or her fullest potential.
