Chesterfield High School is helping all students develop the world class skills and life and career characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a safe, caring, and academically challenging environment. This has been a memorable year at Chesterfield High School. Our students performed well academically, artistically, and athletically, demonstrating a tremendous desire to become the best students that they can be. Their accomplishments include the following:
Seniors were offered over $1,977,000 in scholarships. Six seniors qualified for the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. Thirty-one students qualified for the LIFE scholarship. Forty-Seven students qualified for the HOPE scholarship. One student qualified for the Teaching Fellows Scholarship. Seventy-One students were recognized as Career and Technology Completers. Six of our seniors received associate degrees from local community colleges. Lauren Brock was recognized as a National Merit Scholar commended student. One of our students was named an All-Region band member. One of our Business Professionals of America teams finished first at the state competition in Webpage Design. Our teams finished first and second in Mechatronics at the Skills USA state competition, while our Crime Scene Investigation team also finished first in the Skills USA state competition. In athletics, we had twenty-seven All-Region selections and three All-State selections. Our Girls cross country and track teams won the region championship. JaQuavis Clark was selected to play in the North/South football game and Brody Banasiewicz was selected to play in the North/South baseball game.
