Beaufort High School (BHS) proudly serves approximately 1,050 students in grades 9–12, offering a warm and vibrant learning environment grounded in academic excellence, personal growth, and future readiness. Our commitment to building every student’s potential remains fierce, and our community-focused culture ensures that every Eagle feels welcome and empowered.
At BHS, student success is more than a goal; it’s our promise. We offer an expanded range of AP courses, robust CTE pathways, and the innovative Med-Tech 7 STEAM program, allowing students to explore disciplines like engineering, health, and robotics. Dual-enrollment partnerships with the University of South Carolina Beaufort and Technical College of the Lowcountry provide early college access and real-world academic rigor. Our Freshman Academy supports incoming ninth graders with tailored mentoring and credit recovery to ensure a strong transition to high school, even before their first semester begins.
We invest in our educators because inspired, skilled teachers ignite student achievement. BHS staff participate in ongoing professional learning aligned with district priorities: training on differentiated instruction, inclusive classrooms, and evidence-based literacy and math strategies. Our professional learning communities foster peer collaboration and reflective practice, elevating teaching quality across all classrooms.
The BHS Freshman Academy provides incoming students with a focused support system to navigate the transition to high school. Through smaller class sizes, personalized mentorship, advisory sessions, and credit support, freshmen gain the confidence and academic foundation needed to thrive in upper grades. Early success in the Freshman Academy directly contributes to increased graduation rates and greater college or career readiness.
Beaufort High features competitive and spirited athletic programs, including football, basketball, soccer, track, volleyball, and more. Our athletics foster leadership, teamwork, and resilience while emphasizing academics and personal character. With experienced coaches and well-maintained facilities, BHS student-athletes consistently compete with integrity and pride.
Our School Improvement Council collaborates with families, staff, and leadership to shape school goals and progress.
